Apparently K's class were doing the theme on fastfood. So they were taught what each of the most popular chains had. Like which one had pizzas, which sold chicken and and which one had sundaes. All this all-essential lessons then culminated in a trip to Macs. To identify the food items, a chance to demonstrate good table manners and of course to indulge in the oh-so-healthy food.
Her grandparents and I followed her classmates to the nearby Macs. As expected, the Toddler class and Playgroupers were very excited, firstly to be sitting in the huge bus (all of a 5 minute ride) with their friends and to go to their favouritest place in the whole wide world.
She was put in a little corner table with two other friends. She could hardly see above the table but enjoyed every second of it! There she is eating her hotcakes and apple juice.
With her class teachers.
Going back to school but as it was raining, they waited to be brought to the bus one by one.
She still constantly talks about her going on this excursion with her friends everytime we drive by Macs. And would also remind us the rules they had learnt from her teachers: No screaming and running at the restaurant.

Yay! We like Macs, too! It frequently appears on toilet training charts and Sleep Through The Night Without Sneaking Into Mum/Dad's Bed charts and even Darn It I'm Too Tired To Make Lunch After School conversations in the van.
But I must disagree - Burger King makes better fries by far. It is shameful that I actually know this because Dave and I have tested enough samples to feed a small starving country.
Off to test out a new donut shop (oo, so healthy! Not.) now with the girls for late breakfast before our errands so I won't comment on all the other lovely posts. But wanted to say Happy Birthday Kimmy! Can't believe she's three. And she looks very mature. Am so glad she loves school - I still remember those earlier posts in which she took some adjusting, and now - bravo! She is all settled in. 22 goodie bags! Wow.
This week we're supposed to be working on teacher Christmas presents too. I think we'll bake cookies - I think if we use appropriate frosting colors, we can say they are Christmas cookies i.e. Superfestive.
Have a lovely Christmas, Van! And Peen and Kim and Ben, too!
Now off to donuts! Or doughnuts, as we must rightly spell them. It will be quite the expedition, since we had a major snowstorm and got like 20" of snow - so much that the roof of the Metrodome (our ex-baseball stadium) collapsed. But donuts are donuts - rain, snow, sleet or ice, we must get them, right? So off we go!
Love, L
