Home transformation

With baby on the way, we could no longer ignore the fact that some parts of our house was looking more like a storage dump that a functioning room. After much thought and consideration, we decided that we need to finally put in some more needed cabinet space so we can put baby in our third bedroom, instead of in the living room.

After many weeks of stress and packing and moving of boxes around the house, enduring the noise of the renovation and then cleaning up AND unpacking, we went from this:

And for the third bedroom, my work space went from this:

All in all, we are happy with the transformation but we very clearly need to learn not to hoard and how to let go of things. And our cabinets, that the ID guy and carpenter said would definitely give us ample space or in their exact words, "we would never run out of storage space", well, we have run out of storage space. Clearly, they have underestimated us. And clearly, we're still learning to hoard less and let go.
